Water Discolouration – Update

CTW is aware that some consumers in the Blayney township are still experiencing problems with water discolouration.

CTW thanks all consumers who have contacted us with concerns regarding this problem.

CTW has made further operational changes at its Blayney Water Treatment Plant over the last couple of days to address the problem. This has resulted in significant improvements to the appearance of the water leaving the Blayney Treatment Plant.

As this water flows through the Blayney reticulation network, consumers should expect to see an improvement of the appearance of the water over the next few days.

CTW advises that despite the discolouration issue the water continues to meet the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines.

CTW apologises to all affected consumers who have been impacted by the discolouration and it is notable that the discoloured appearance of the water is accentuated in a white container such as a cup, bath or toilet cistern.
