The overall water supply scheme is an interconnected network of sub-systems which are primarily fed from Lake Rowlands. In peak periods, supply is supplemented from additional sources such as Gooloogong Bore, Bangaroo Bore and Cudal Bore.

New Pipeline to boost district water supply

Central Tablelands Water and Orange City Council have received funding through NSW Government’s Restart NSW Water Security for Regions programme to build a new pipeline from Orange to Carcoar WFP via Spring Hill, Millthorpe and Blayney.

The project includes a 57 km potable pipeline from Orange to Carcoar WFP via Spring Hill, Millthorpe and Blayney, and Pump stations for bi-directional water transfers.
