Demand Management Policy

Council has introduced a Demand Management Policy, in response to a request from the NSW State Government for all water utilities to implement demand management strategies in order to achieve efficient water use within their communities.

The policy Prohibits the use of sprinklers and fixed hoses for consumers across the whole of the supply network, between the hours of 10.00am and 5.00pm daily.

Council's water restriction policy will be reintroduced if and when the level of Lake Rowlands falls below 70%.

Demand Management Plan

This Demand Management Plan reviews Central Tablelands Water (CTW) existing and potential demand management measures and recommends further actions to achieve best-practice demand management practices.

The analysis is based on benefit/cost ratio analyses generated using the NSW office of water demand modelling software.
